Marshall Eriksen

Marshall Eriksen is a man of my neck of the woods; he is from the great north, St. Cloud, Minnesota. Here we enjoy hockey and snow, and the nicest people in the country live there. His friends from New York like to make fun of him though because of his amazing Minnesotan personality.

Growing up in Minnesota, Marshall was the runt of the family at six feet and four inches. He is very proud of winning the slam dunk competition in Nicollet County, winning with his dunk named "The White Windmill".  He misses living in Minnesota, because he is very close to his family and loves the state itself.

Marshall met Lily in college when she felt drawn to his room in their freshman year at Wesleyan University. This was the beginning of their very long relationship of ten years, and it finally led to marriage.  Marshall also met Ted at Wesleyan. In college, Marshall held the skeet ball high score under the name of "Big Fudge".

Marshall, or "Marshmallow" as Lily calls him, is a lawyer that wants to protect and save the planet; but, since life is not easy, he is forced to take a high paying corporate job at Goliath National Bank, which is the opposite of what he would like to do because of his views on the environment. Goliath National Bank is destroying wildlife and nature all over the world.

Since, Marshall is a lawyer he likes to say, "Lawyered!" every time he makes a point in an argument with his friends. He uses this phrase while defending things he highly believes in As a grown up, he still feels the same about myths such as Santa and the Easter Bunny, he is a believer. His favorite myth is Nessie the Loch Ness Monster, which he believes in very strongly. Watch and listen to the short video above.

"A man can do a lot of living in three hours." Marshall does a lot of living in every episode of "How I Met Your Mother" with and without his best friends.
Although, Marshall looks very insecure about himself in this picture; he is the complete opposite. This picture is from http://withfriendship.com/user/svaruna/marshall-eriksen.php.

Ted Mosby
Ted Mosby is the main character in the hit TV show, "How I Met Your Mother". He is portrayed by Josh Radnor, one of my favorite actors. A little background on Ted:  he is an architect from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Ted accomplishes his dream of becoming an architect in college, where he meets his two best friends, Lily and Marshall. The hit television show, "How I Met Your Mother", opens with its catchphrase, "And kids that's how I met your mother." It is centered around the story of his quest to find his wife. When I think of the name Ted Mosby; I think of a die-hard romantic, architect, a man searching for his soul mate, and a man full of hilarious statements.
Ted has spent seven grueling seasons trying to find his lover. He has certain requirements for his wife such as loving Star Wars and being obsessed with quoting poetry. This ends up being a problem because Ted really wants a female version of himself. Ted is not alone in this search; he has his best friends Marshall and Lily (who are married); Robin, a woman who goes in and out of relationships frequently, and Barney, who lives to be single and is completely against marriage. They all hang out at a bar below Ted's apartment, called McLaren's Pub. This is the main scene where the show takes place. But like Ted says in many episodes, "I'll get to that later".
These four set him up with different women, but he always finds a flaw with every single women he dates. This narrows his search down to one woman who is apparently non-existent because of Ted's incredibly high standards for his wife. He has found one woman who meets his standards; Stella, the woman to whom he was engaged to be married... but he didn't fit hers, which is made very clear when she abruptly leaves him at the altar.
The five friends are there as Ted throws out one women after the other. They encounter many adventures due to his or her own faults, each of the events propel Ted closer and closer to his wife. Sorry, but "My head is about to explode and I don't want to get it on anybody's waffles, so I'm leaving."
